Wayne Starr has spent the last 15 years as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, (CDFA), working with other professionals in our association to deliver the Collaborative Divorce process in Kansas and Missouri.

Wayne Starr has 30 years of experience in the financial services field with expertise in all areas of financial planning, including retirement, education, cash flow, risk management, and investment planning. I now specialize, as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA), in the financial issues faced by divorcing couples. 

• Advised one hundred and twenty clients on a wide range of financial planning issues including management of $150,000,000
• Designed and managed numerous profit sharing, defined benefit, and 401(k) plans
• Taught for 10 years as an adjunct professor for the College of Financial Planning, providing training for CFP® candidates in the Kansas City area.

• Named as one of the top 200 financial planners in the U.S. by MONEY magazine in its 25th anniversary issue
• Named as one of the top 200 financial planners in the U.S. by WORTH magazine in 1996 through 1999
• Hosted Kansas City’s first talk show devoted to financial planning for 18 months on KCMO Radio 810
• Contributor on financial planning issues to various publications, including FORBES, The Kansas City Star, Chicago Sun-Times, AARP Bulletin, The Wall Street Journal, Hitched, Kiplinger’s Retirement Report, and The Christian Science Monitor
