Michelle Jakobe

Michelle E. Jakobe has practiced law for over 30 years since graduating from Washburn University School of Law in 1991.  She is licensed in Kansas and Missouri and has focused her practice on family law for the majority of her career.  Michelle has extensive experience in handling all types of family law cases, whether they are litigated, mediated, or collaborative, in all areas of family law, including divorce, paternity, custody, child support, and modifications.

Over her many years of helping individuals through some of the most stressful times in their lives, Michelle recognizes that a lengthy and contested trial is often extremely expensive and also very costly in terms of the emotional stress and turmoil that it can cause for all parties involved.  The collaborative process, however, allows her clients and their families to reach a resolution to their case that is much stronger, more tailored to their individual needs, and more focused on resolutions that will allow the parties and their children to move forward in a positive manner.

Ms. Jakobe is licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Kansas, and has significant experience in a variety of counties on both sides of the state line.
